Will Centers for Medicare and Medicare Services (CMS) and other insurance programs cover the Sensinel CPM System?

ADI has received 510(k) clearance through the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the Sensinel CPM System. Through this clearance and ongoing data collection, ADI will be approaching CMS and commercial health insurance plans to seek approval for fee for service (FFS) reimbursement.

What makes the Sensinel CPM System and the associated triaging service different than existing at-home monitoring programs for cardiopulmonary conditions such as HF?

The Sensinel CPM System differs from existing programs because of the scope of the physiological measures collected with only 5 minutes of wear from the patient. The sensitive and specific measurements are trended daily by intelligent algorithms, enabling actionable clinical data to be delivered to clinicians. The data is reviewed by an ADI clinical partner, which identifies patients indicating a further need for triage. This combined effort identifies only those patients in need of referral to their patient care team, reducing false notifications and clinical workflow burden.
